Bidding for 2200km submarine optical fiber network project
Wire and cable industry news, Russian Ministry of digital development, communication and mass media has announced the deployment of submarine and land optical fiber networks to Chukchi autonomous region, and relevant bidding work has been started.
Specifically, the government plans to allocate 234 million rubles in 2019, 500 million rubles in 2020, 4.01 billion rubles in 2021 and 2.144 billion rubles in 2022 for the implementation of new optical fiber network projects.
At that time, there will be 2210 km of new submarine cables connecting the chucca autonomous region (including the new submarine cable from Kamchatka to petkrovsk), including the new submarine cable of 2210 km.
The new optical fiber network system will include no less than four fiber pairs with a minimum design capacity of 100gbps. The project contract also calls for the completion of the project deployment in 2022, as well as five years (up to 2027) of optical network operation and maintenance services. Interested developers can submit bids before August 30, 2019.
