1) Resilience and abrasion resistance:
 
The resilience and wear resistance of TPU are better than that of TPE, which is mainly due to the different structure of molecular segments.

2) Hardness range:
 
TPE has a wide hardness adjustment space: its hardness can generally be adjusted within 0-100A, and even can provide ultra-soft TPE less than 0A (expressed in Shore hardness C or Shore hardness OO).
 
The hardness range of TPU is 35~90A and 50~80D.
 
The most common hardness is 80~95A. TPU with 50~80D hardness has few practical applications.TPU with 35~75A hardness has a high cost of materials.
 
3) Material texture:
 
TPU has high wear resistance, strong hand friction and poor smoothness.
 
TPE makes the material feel soft, comfortable and smooth because of the soft structure of SEBS molecular chain.
 
Both materials have their own advantages and disadvantages. They can be selected as the charging line of new energy automobiles according to the actual use.
